National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP) is a key part of the Energy & Utility Sector Skills Council with an objective is to support a sector comprising of power generation, distribution, metering and renewables in the development of skills and competencies. This will be centred on the involvement of employers in devising a national approach to Power Sector skills.
To develop an innovative range of products to support the development of skills and expertise within this vital sector we are seeking a Product Development Manager. The emphasis will be on devising cost effective delivery strategies utilising web based applications where possible.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will be to:
- Evaluate external products and services available via NSAP or other sources to the sector
- Assess the variety of available routes to markets and support an appropriate product /marketing strategy
- Develop a suite of training products and services which support current needs in relation to designated areas ie smart metering, qualifications and short courses and constantly review the sector requirements ensuring new products are available as necessary
- Coordinate and manage various teams as required ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Liaise with internal and external IT specialists to ensure that all products are developed and accessed in the most cost effective fashion
- Represent NSAP, as necessary, on external groups, committees and forums as required
- Work in collaboration with the Operations Manager to ensure the successful implementation and on-going management of products.
- Undertake such other duties commensurate with the post, as may be allocated from time to time by the Operations Manager.
- In collaboration with the business development team, operations manager and employee networks develop and deliver product and services strategies that will meet member needs through commercially sustainable solutions
